About Production
One of the joys of Merchant Story 3 is its production system, which lets you process items.Here is a brief explanation of how production works.
How to Obtain Materials
To produce something, first prepare the items needed as materials.The main ways to obtain materials are listed below.
Buy Materials at the Market or Shopping Street
This is the quickest method, but because you have to pay for the materials,you probably cannot expect much profit.
Fight in the Field
Fighting monsters in the field lets you obtain plenty of loot.This does not consume Force, so it is an easy way to obtain materials.
Gather in the Field
the “Gathering Guide” item can be carried and used in the field to obtain materials.Gathering consumes Force, however, so the number of times you can gather is limited.
Try Sewing!
This tutorial takes you through making clothes by sewing.Production Requires “Knowledge”
Production such as sewing or handicrafts requires the corresponding “knowledge”.In the world of Merchant Story 3, “knowledge” takes the form of “books”.
Only after obtaining both a book and the materials can you produce items at the corresponding facilities.
You must write these books yourself; they cannot be purchased at the Market or Shopping Street.
Learn Sewing
Before you can sew, you must learn the necessary sewing knowledge.Learning sewing knowledge gives you “Introduction to Sewing”.
To learn it, prepare the following materials.
- Notebook … 1 item
- Thread … 3 items
- Beast Hide … 6 items
In the main menu, open “Trade”, then select “Market” to go to the Market. Then,
find the following item in the list: Notebook, and purchase one.
For the other materials, fight monsters in the field to obtain them.
