Learn Sewing

Once you have gathered the materials needed to learn sewing, visit the Training Hall.
In the main menu, open “Production”, then select “Training Hall”.
On the right side of the screen, available actions are listed.
An action appears when you meet its learning requirements;
if you do not meet them, you will see “？？？？？” instead.

Now click “Learn Sewing Basics” in the list. The materials consumed when learning are displayed. Press (Execute) to proceed. “You learned the basics of sewing”: when this message appears, you have learned it!
The item “Introduction to Sewing” should now be yours.
From now on, this Introduction to Sewing lets you sew.

Gather Sewing Materials

Introduction to Sewing is now yours; go gather the materials needed for production.
Most sewing materials can be obtained as combat loot.
The main materials needed for sewing are:

• Thread
• Beast Hide
• Feather

(At first, Thread and Beast Hide are all you need in large quantities.)

For now, Thread and Beast Hide: aim to gather 10 of each.
Misty, City of Water: wander around just outside the city and fight, and you should collect them naturally.

Make Clothes by Sewing

Once the Materials Are Ready…

Once you have enough materials, take Introduction to Sewing and Thread and Beast Hide to the Tailoring Workshop.
In the main menu, open “Production”, then select “Tailoring Workshop”.
“Cloth Clothes” and several other entries should be listed.
Keep in mind that at first, you can only produce “Cloth Clothes” and “Leather Gloves”.

About Proficiency

Production may require proficiency as well as materials.
Proficiency increases each time you use the book (Introduction to Sewing).
For sewing, Cloth Clothes and Leather Gloves are the only items that do not require a certain level of proficiency.
Even if you have all the materials, trying to produce something may give you “Insufficient proficiency.” as an error.

Produce “Cloth Clothes” or “Leather Gloves”!

Now that you understand proficiency, let's try production.
Click “Cloth Clothes” or “Leather Gloves” in the list.
The materials will be shown. Press (Execute) to proceed. “Produced ~”: when this message appears, production is complete.

What Is a “Great Success”?

Sometimes, production displays “Great success!”.
This means you have created a “Masterwork”, an enhanced version of the normal product.
Masterwork items have greatly improved durability and performance compared with normal ones.

Production Consumes Force

After producing a few times, Force consumption will become apparent.
(Force is also consumed by gathering and other activities, not just production.)
Remember, Force recovers while you are logged out.
If you run out of Force and accidentally close the game without logging out… you'll regret it.
Force cannot be restored with items or similar means, so plan how you use it.

On to the Next Step…

Once you are comfortable with sewing, try “Compounding” or “Handicrafts” as well.
The process is the same as sewing: “Gather materials → learn knowledge → gather materials → produce”.
Compounding and Handicrafts: to obtain materials for these, gathering is also effective.
